This collection simply stinks!

The songs on their own basis are excellent but this 2 disc set is one of the most poorly made collection's I've ever bawt.

The songs clash and are chopped up in length and some of the edits are simply terrible!

A waste of time and money! I deeply regret wasting my money on this crap!

I absolutely love the dance mix USA CD series that spanned eight collections and have the first six entries and haven't had any luck in getting the last two because I could never find them.

This first "Best Of" may sound like a good buy but it isn't. Although it spans two discs, the playing for both discs is just a little over 40 minutes and there's plenty of space for more songs on both of them.

Even worse is that a lot of the songs are chopped up and actually end where it would otherwise be in the middle of them. The worse example in my opinion is where they actually butcher La Bouches high-energy dance classic "Sweet Dreams" and part of the song repeats itself in the last 3 seconds and the result was something that almost sounded like the CD was damaged or a record was badly scratched to where it would skip and repeat the same pattern every second but I then realized that it was not a CD defect but really lousy DJ remix editing and the result really ruins this great classic.

The whole collection doesn't flow very well and the result is a shoddy collection that seems to have been thrown together at the last minute with no care in preserving the quality of the songs.

These are great songs and this is the best dance CD series to have ever been created but this and the second "Best of" collections are unnecessary and are more like cash-ins on the dance audiences. Although you might end up shelling out thousands of more pennies in doing so, you are far better off buying all eight volumes of the "Dance Mix USA" series and starting with the first volume and going from there. Even the most die-hard fanbase will realize what a poorly assembled collection this item really is.

These CD's had the potential to be a good buy, with several great songs and artists. The overmixing, however, completely ruins even the best tracks. Songs stop in the middle for no apparent reason, or are overwhelmed with an added generic techno beat which completely obscures the original. Fortunately the middle portion of each song is generally untouched, so you can at least use these CDs to get an idea of what songs/artists you want to buy from other producers.

Unless you are into hiphop music this is a big time AVOID CD. Personally I am into the faster beat type music. This is a slow lathargic CD. Add two small frisbies to a collection with this one. I also tried Best of Vol2. Outside of the first three songs like Runaway it too is a throwawy in my book. I had some pretty good luck with "dance Mix USA 1995" from song 11 on. Goodluck

This 2-CD compilation is very good, with great famous upbeated songs. I prefered the CD-2, for the songs «Rhythm Is A Dancer», «More & More» and «Mr. Vain». The CD-1 is very good too. If you search for a very good dance compilation, stop searching right now and buy it.

This one reminds me of the best of my dancing days! Very well mixed, upbeat, fast. Worth the money. You could play it at a club and it would be a hit!
