A True Talent Sings A Goodbye Song, March 20, 2008
This review is from: Best Days (MP3 Download)
So apparently American Idol had their choice of goodbye songs for this year, knowing that the song they picked would most likely hit the top 10 charts and boost up a deserving artist. There's "Hollywood's Not America" which was strange to say the least, and then there was the has-been and shouldve never-been Ruben Studdard "singing" a lazy, boring Kenny Loggins cover. Well, while supporting past contestants is nice, sometimes nice guys should finish first. And this is a very nice song, by an amazing singer, the arrangement, the lyrics, everything is excellent here, and you'll be hard-pressed to find something to complain about.
And if you could find something to complain about, it would be the fact that it may not be the most original song in the world, however that is quickly dismissed because of the quality that is this song, so it sounds fresh and exiting, even though you may have heard songs like it.
Overall, from the verses to the chorus, to the bridge, and everything in-between, this is an excellent underrated song, that deserved a spot on American Idol. But I guess it will have to find greatness by good old-fashioned word of mouth. So spread the word!
