5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent collection
As a DJ in the 80's, I collected anything that bore the name Den Harrow on the cover. Not all of his songs were winners, but the ones that were would always bring the house down. 3.0 out of 5 stars The guy was simple phoney.
Don't know if the fans know Den Harrow wasn't real. I mean, he was but the guy appearing on the stage couldn't and didn't sing. The real singer was Tom Hooker (among others). Check it out listening to the cd "Bad Reputation" of the latter. Depite the fact there are some moments on the CD. I think "Mad Desire" is musicaly quite good, although (again!)...

As a DJ in the 80's, I collected anything that bore the name Den Harrow on the cover. Not all of his songs were winners, but the ones that were would always bring the house down. I was disappointed that "Broken Radio" was not included in this collection but the rest of his hits are there. These songs were great to include in mixes thanks to the strong beats and catchy hooks. I would always have people come up to me and ask what I was playing when Den's songs were on. Again, if only they would have included "Broken Radio", this collection would be complete. "Future Brain" was a club favorite, and I used it at the begining of my sets to get the club going.

If you want to collect Italo or 80's Hi-NRG music, this CD is absolutely necessary. This artist, as well as Albert One, Shy Rose, and anything produced by the gods of Italo Mark Farina & Giacomo Crivelente are musts in any true collector's CD shelf.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHO SAID DISCO WAS DEAD?, February 13, 2002
This review is from: Best of Den Harrow (Audio CD)
THIS IS A GREAT CD FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LOVE TO COLLECT 80'S HI-NRG
DEN HARROW IS A VERY TALENTED ARTIST AND SINGER. THIS IS A MUST BUY CD FOR THE DISCO LOVERS, THIS CD IS PACKED WITH COOL MELODIC SOUNDS OF THE 80'S, ALL THE SONGS ARE GOOD SOME ARE BETTER THAN OTHER BUT NONETHELESS THEY ALL ROCK THE BOX, BUT MY FAVORITE ONE IS OF COURSE "FUTURE BRAIN". "FUTURE BRAIN" TAKES ME AWAY EVERY TIME I HEAR IT. AS I TYPE THIS, "FUTURE BRAIN" PLAYS IN THE BACKGROUND, ITS GREAT!! BUY THIS CD YOU WILL NOT REGRET.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and energetic euro-disco, April 7, 1999
This review is from: Best of Den Harrow (Audio CD)
This Italo-disco star has never been on the top of the tops but always was admired by the club circles in the 80s. This collection really presents the best of his three albums, with anthems like "Don't Break my Heart," "Bad Boy," or "Charleston." I don't find his vocal abilities "inspiring" at all, but his music is more about rhythm, fun and juicy electronics. The only disappointing part of the album is the last two songs which I don't know where they came from and why they are "cut off" at the end (not full versions). Overall, a great addition to any euro-disco fan's collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars A five star artist of 80s italo - dance, March 15, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Best of Den Harrow (Audio CD)
I was very young when his first hits "Mad desire" and "Future brain" made him famous all over Italy and Europe; these were followed by

other successful songs, like "Bad boy", "Charleston", "Catch the fox" and "Don't break my heart", which became quite as famous as the previuos ones and very much played and danced in the italian discotheques.

Other songs of the CD, such as "My time", "Holiday night"and "Energy rain" were unknown to me, but I've found them very exciting and full of rhythm. I think that Den Harrow is a talented singer and his songs are little diamonds of 80s italo - disco.

I think "Mad Desire" is musicaly quite good, although (again!) the initial version with the vocal of Sivlio Pozzoli is I think better. "Charleston" is inviting to dance. Just bought it because of reminiscence.
