A golden age of Doo-Wop classic,
By Jon R. Wittman Re/Max (San Marino, Ca United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: 13 Of The Best Doo Wop Love Songs, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
This is simply one of the best mixes of original 50's Doo-Wop cuts. Just about everyone of these numbers is a classic. From the lush "Lovers Never Say Goodbye" by the Flamingos to the first great girl group The Chantels and the stirring vocal of Arlene Smith on "Maybe", through the 1956 recording of a "Thousand Miles Away" by the Heartbeats and ending with the best "end of the dance", recording ever, the Spaniels "Goodnight Sweetheart Goodnight" this compilation will bring back those golden memories. If you are just begining to listen to Doo-Wops, you would be hard pressed to find a better sampling of these classics.
