As with most "best" collections, there are always some songs you'd replace with others you like even more (I guess that's what CD burners are for). This CD, nonetheless, has several goodies on it. "Tropical Legs" is a perfect example of Klugh going where he wants to and making a catchy, feel-good tune. "Calypso Getaway" is one of my favorite Klugh tunes because of its great melody, rhythm, percussion (compliments of Paulinho da Costa), and orchestration (by Johnny Mandel). Another great performance is James Taylor's "Long Ago and Far Away," which Klugh plays with tenderness and a sense of "longing." Klugh often gets the best musicians to work with him, and included here are Dave Grusin, Phil Upchurch, Ralph MacDonald, Steve Gadd, and Lee Ritenour.

this is a must for any acoustic guitar fan.earl has come togather with some of his classics.the always smooth tropica legs,the beautifl angelina,and the classic wishful thinking from his second release. other earl klugh titles i suggest are sudden burst of energy,finger paintings,and crazy for you. ar klugh titles cassc wisful thinking from earls second release in 1976.

This CD is a MUST HAVE for any Earl Klugh fan who's looking for any of

his harder to find tracks. "Doc" is my favorite cut on this CD. This tune is from his "Dream Come True" cd (Now out of print). There's other good tracks on hear too.

Listen Up all, It is one thing to have the best track of an artist on an Album but when you have the very best tracks from one of the very best in the Jazz industry then i just have one thing to say " You Better recognise ". Mr Earl Klugh combines all sorts from soul to calypso and produces a smooth blend of Jazz. I iuv this Guy, I luv this Album

Being a long time listener of Earl Klugh's music I am always looking for recordings of his earlier works in cd form. This cd has a nice collection of some of my favorite songs. Since the mid 70's when I first heard Earl and began acquiring his albums I have absolutely enjoyed the way his playing positively affects my mood and outlook while enjoying his compositions.
