I have lived in the area 23 years, knew there were hikes out there, but finally picked up the body and began hiking after checking this book out of the library. the hiking areas are diverse, plains, mountains, foothills. well documented and explained on distance, etc. I have other hiking books for the colorado springs area, but this is the first one I actually used. I think it's small size helps, easy to carry along, light and compact. ps I hate capital letters

This was a very helpful book to find other trails in the COS area near the Garden of the Gods Park. Lots of good and pretty options that we tried and liked alot.
