This book makes getting ready for back to school classroom activities a snap. These 50 activities, strategies, and tips save you time and get your school year off on the right foot! In fact, this book contains first day welcoming activities, getting to know you icebreakers, back to school mini books, bulletin board ideas, perfect poems, and suggestions of books to read on the first day. I enjoy the eight ready to use activity sheets. Two of my favorite sheets include the classroom treasure hunt and the Old Friends, New Friends mini-play. The poems and riddles in this book are great and useful during the first few days of a new school year. This book is a good price for what you get. I wouldn't say it is the best back to school book. The best one I have seen was way over 10 dollars. Still, it is a good buy and contains many good ideas that I am sure any k-2 teacher would be thrilled to use!
