5.0 out of 5 stars The meaningful way to learn words, January 31, 2001
This review is from: Best-Ever Vocabulary & Word Study Games (Grades 4-8) (Paperback)
Dear Educators, Words stick when they have meaning, context, and logical patterns. These classroom-tested games teach kids vocabulary via creative activities such as: Triage: Learn body words by pretending to diagnose patients a la ER. Bingo Lingo and Verbosaurus: Match Latin and Greek word roots with vocab words on a bingo card; then review and reinforce by generating words in a board game. Advantageous Advertising: Analyze the meanings of product names and then use synonyms and roots to create a meaningful name for a make-believe product. Le Menu: Learn food words by ordering from a unique menu. + Synonym Tag, a Latin scavenger hunt, relay races, word puzzles, anagrams, quick time fillers, and more. Great prep for PSAT and SAT.
