Product Description

Amazon.com

Featuring a comfortable and natural stride, the Best Fitness E1 center drive elliptical trainer offers patented technology that ensures the shape of the ellipse is biomechanically correct. This means the machine moves in the same natural motion as your body does, providing a true running feel. Inferior designs can have either too much vertical movement or too much horizontal movement; those units will often make the user feel off-balanced while exercising. The E1, however, will keep you in a balanced upright position for a stable and secure feel.

The E1 also has a balanced steel frame which eliminates rocking while maintaining a compact footprint, which makes it ideal for your home workout area (particularly when space is a concern). Combined with its durable components, the steel frame supports users up to 275 pounds while the unit's front transport wheels make it easy to move around. Proper pedal spacing on this elliptical eliminates hip fatigue--when your feet are forced out too wide or in too narrow, your body will incur undue strain on your hips. The E1 also offers a comfortable step-up height to allow you to start your workouts safely while its moving arms recruit your upper body and core to the workout, making this a total body trainer.

The E1 offers a compact footprint that's ideal for smaller spaces.

To track your workout metrics, the E1 offers contact heart rate handles for advanced monitoring. Additionally, the console offers feedback such as time, distance, speed, and calories so you can can track your workout, push yourself to the next level, and help accomplish your fitness goals. With 17 levels of smooth resistance, this trainer will challenge everyone from beginners to seasoned fitness gurus while 12 unique fitness programs offer variety to keep your workouts fresh and challenging.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
Our elliptical trainer arrived in a large cardboard box, that needed two people to move it. We had it delivered in our garage and carried the pieces down to the basement and assembled it there. The only difficult part of this was the base, which also needed to people to move - it's heavy and awkward. The box contained Styrofoam which was marked for recycling, and all the plastic bags were clearly marked with recycling symbols. I give them good marks for making recycling easier.

Assembly was extremely easy. The directions were fairly clear and the parts needed for each of the assembly steps was individually packed, see my photo. Some parts are left or right oriented and those are clearly marked with L or R stickers. It also came with all the tools needed for assembly. I put it together in about an hour. NOTE: I needed to tighten some of the nuts after we'd used the machine for 3 weeks. I noticed this after the elliptical was noisy to use, normally it's extremely quiet.

One hint, it's not clear where to plug in the power line. It goes into a small socket near the base of the left hand side, see the attached photo.

There are two roller wheel at the front of the unit and a large bar to the back, so in theory you can stash it when not in use and pull it out to use it.
When not in use it's 51" long and 30" wide. When in use, it's needs a length clearance of 68".

The power drive a large very readable and bright display. It shows the type of circuit you're using below very large digits that cycle between: workout time; speed; distance (miles); calories; pulse rate; and watts. The display powers off automatically, and then switches on when you get on the treadmill and take a step or two. So it's very energy efficient.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
I'm a relatively active outdoors person also with numerous indoor exercise equipment, dislike gym ellipticals, and expected this elliptical would be a minor use item. Was I surprised!

Probably the greatest impediments to most people's exercising are: lack of motivation and time. This mindless, requiring low-motivation (both desirable characteristics) exerciser works excellently with high-wall-hanging TVs, so one can learn or be entertained, while exercising; thus perhaps saving an hour of time daily!

Rowing machines are noisy. Free weights and home weight-gyms cause interrupted flows in viewing due to constant changing of weights and head angles. Treadmills require concentration and has too much bounce to enjoy the shows. Gazelle gliders lack adjustable resistance and also require concentration and has too much bounce. Boxing bags or jumping with ropes cause interruptions and bounce. Gym ellipticals either require my watching boring commonly-watched TV programs or if a small TV is attached, the viewing angle is not directly in front of the eyes, requiring a head adjustment that removes some exercise value. Yoga doesn't require much motion exercise. Indoor bicycling has no arm exercise and bad for posture.

The BF-E1 elliptical is relatively quiet (so I can hear the TV audio), has varying resistance levels (for better workout), is relatively compact (saves space), has extensive exercise modes settings, and even is effective for a 6ft1in guy, as me (I had expected it to appeal primarily to women). Its pedals are well designed for safety because BF-E1's lower sidewalls prevent possible jamming a toe, when one is mindlessly pedaling.

Only been using this for a week, will update the review down the road.

Pros:
Machine is quiet to operate and very smooth.
The machine is well-designed and very stable.
Material is good quality feel very sturdy.
Workout experience is satisfying.

Cons:
Contradict to what the video says, the machine is extremely difficult to move, you need to lift the machine up to roll it with the small wheels in front, since the machine weight well over 200 lbs, unless you are very strong, it takes at least 2 people to do it.
The LCD panel is confusing the operate. (the 12 programs on the panels are just description, not actual buttons).
the last installation step (installing the panel) is poorly designed, I ended up not able to fit all the cables to the holes had to remove the upper portion that connects the panel to the frame and rewire it.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas ( at her request, I'm not dumb enough to buy exercise equipment or appliances as gifts). After reading reviews, I was a little leery about assembly. The instructions suggested that it would take a professional installer about an hour. In fact, it took my wife and I about one hour to assemble, and the instructions were exceptionally clear. Everything is laid out stepwise, and all of the materials were enclosed, not a bolt, screw or washer missing. The enclosed tools were perfectly adequate for the job, and much better than most. After only one week of use, it seems to function perfectly. I'm going to fashion a small bracket for a book, magazine, or tablet. Obviously, I cannot comment on durability at this point, but will amend my review if I have any issues. For a moderately priced machine, I couldn't be happier with it. I like the smaller footprint, and the center footpads give a more natural stride than some gym machines I've used. More importantly, my wife loves it. Did I mention that I bought it for her?
