Book Description

In general, there are several different ways that you can use food strategically to lose weight. Here are the top five ways to use food to boost your metabolism and drop the pounds.

* Choose foods that are high in protein and low in unhealthy fats.
* Choose foods that are high in essential fatty acids, such as the all important omega-3 fatty acids, which are healthy for your heart and brain in particular.
* Choose foods that are high in fiber, as these foods require the body to expend more energy in the digestive process.
* Choose spicy foods.
* Choose foods that are high in minerals like calcium.

Foods that fit into these five categories will often be very useful in helping you boost your metabolism and lose weight. As you will see in this book, the best metabolism boosting foods will sometimes even meet more than one of the five criteria.

Our health researchers selected the 101 best foods for helping you boost your metabolism. Through making the proper food choices, you should have no trouble losing even the most stubborn weight. The food selections that you will read about in this book were not picked randomly, but instead were chosen for a variety of specific reasons. We not only looked for foods that successfully boost metabolism, but also we looked for foods that are simultaneously nutritious.

4.0 out of 5 stars For 99 cents it was good enough June 18, 2011

Format:Kindle Edition
For 99 cents, people need to temper their expectations a bit. The guide tells you a lot of the foods you'd expect to be healthy and good for you and your metabolism. Maybe you know them, maybe you don't, maybe you just need reinforcement so you can go ahead and actually start eating healthier.

If you're looking for something earth-shattering, this isn't the ebook for you. Something like The Ultimate Diet Guide - For Busy Women! No Starving, No Food Restrictions, No Gym Workouts Required! would be more your taste since it presents diet information and weight loss strategies you won't read about in popular diet books.

My opinion. Get this ebook to give yourself a boost towards eating better foods. Just don't have too high of expectations. 99 cents won't kill you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let delicious food help you control your body! February 23, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I was skeptical at first because I've tried it all. Still, this book rings true and the more I learn the more I tell family they need to read it. I am firmly convinced that if all you did was change your diet from the low-metabolic food to high-metabolic, you would feel better, look better, and slim down. 101 Best Foods to Boost Your Metabolism shows that your body really WANTS what you want - to be lean and not overweight - now you can use your body's own mechanisms and those in food to help get you there.

Much of what we do, I learned here that food can do better. For example, you CAN take Omega-3 supplements but why not just choose high Omega-3 foods and give your body the real thing? Again, I want my family to learn this and I think anybody out there will benefit too.

I love to find books that are straight forward and provide the information you need in an easy to use lay out. Having the foods listed as they are in this book is a big plus for me because it makes my grocery shopping easier. I also liked that each food listed had facts and tidbits about it that helped to explain why they were good metabolism boosters. Another big plus, most of the foods and spices discussed in the book are common foods found at the regular grocery store!

To sum it up, A+ guide about foods that boost metabolism in a user friendly and easy to use layout.

I didn't find this book to be much help. I had already come up most of these foods just by using common sense.
