Hey collectors!! If your looking for the original recordings of Freddy Fender, look no further. Unlike 90% of the Freddy Fender releases in circulation, this is one of the few billed as a "Best of" or "Greatest Hits" that actually have the original versions.

The only thing is, this is basically a straight reissue of the old Lp. There are hardly any notes you would expect in a set like this.

I see it is out of print now, so if you can find it, grab it. Fender seem all but forgotten these days.

This CD is awesome - very reminiscent of those hot days at Sara's Dry Creek Cafe. This is as pure Texan you can get, and includes all of the classic greats. "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights", "Sugar Coated Love", "The Rains Came".... it doesn't get any better. Just close your eyes, and you'll be at John T. Floore's in no time.

AS most of the opinions indicate, this is one of the best, if not the best! It is Freedy Fender at the height of his musical style! A great item!

To tell the truth, although I like some of Freddy Fender, I bought this for my husband and he really likes it; therefore, the rating is his. I like all types of music from Grand Opera to Bluegrass, but my husband so loves his Country/Western, 50's, and Bluegrass, that I limit my own listening to the rest of the genres. In the car or the main part of the house, he listens to tapes, radio, old records and CDs of his music and as I work or live in that part of the house I gladly listen to it. But in my large craft room while I'm sewing, crafting or working I listen to my music.
