Surprisingly Good,
By Mother of 3 (Chicago) - See all my reviews
This review is from: My Best Friend is Cinderella (Disney Princess) (Hardcover)
My daughter went through a Disney Princess phase and this was one of many Cinderella themed items we bought over the past two years. I was pleasantly surprised that this story was actually fairly well written. In this story Cinderella shows a little girl that "real" princesses spend quite a bit of their day doing charity work...of course, it's all done in a ball gown but that's beside the point. There is the tried and true formula of a girl with no parents around and the fantasy of being a princess, but she ends up seeing that princesses don't just drink tea and attend parties, they care for those less fortunate. It's written with a light touch and most Disney charmed girls would be sucked in without getting hit over the head with the lesson being taught. As my older daughter is growing out of her princess phase, my younger one is growing into it. She now wants me to read this story to her. I got my money's worth out of this book and will probably by one or two more in this series.

I bought all four princess books for my daughter and she loves them. She keeps reading them over and over. Anything to keep them interested in reading!
