Really fantastic story that gives us characters we care about in extraordinary situations.

There's no way BFF isn't going to be a cult classic in a couple years, so just get ahead of the curve and start telling your friends how much you liked it now.
Marc Wilkinson
The low budget adds a nice low-fi quality and shooting on location really added a nice feel to the film.

I loved the story and the acting. The soundtrack and the way it looked. I had so much fun with this movie.

Two best friends find their world literally falling apart as one decides to return to school. A surprisingly insightful film in the post-apocalyptic genre where the struggle to keep a friendship is mirrored by the chaos around them. Beautiful cinematography and great music add to the performances. If you like character in your genre films - instead of the same old unmotivated non-stop action, you'll love this film.

A cool indie film about a post apocalyptic road trip of two friends from LA to Austin, Texas. Shot in Super 16mm film, really adds to the great cinematography. Awesome soundtrack matches nicely with the scenes. Embodies the feel of disaster without actually showing much of the physical destruction of the bombs, as the characters try to cope with the situation. Happy to have been able to contribute to the Kickstarter campaign for this project. Well worth a watch!

This is a good movie about two friends who head out on a road trip to Austin, Texas, but end up leaving LA just before it all goes boom. Wonderful West Texas cinematography and vulnerable and fun acting from the two stars make this movie a delight to watch. Really enjoyed it.

If you didn't know that this was the directorial debut of Brea Grant (who, with her co-star Vera Miao, is also the co-writer) you would never know. Really fantastic story that gives us characters we care about in extraordinary situations. Sure, there are post-apocalyptic genre elements here - sometimes coyly referenced or turned on their heads - but the core of this story, and this film, is the characters. Terrific and very true writing and performances by the leads and everyone else, and the cinematography (shot on film as I understand it) lends a you-are-there realness while remaining beautiful at the same time. Actually, the shooting style is very like the TV version of Friday Night Lights (in which Ms. Grant appeared) and that's a high compliment in my book. Very excited to see more from these creators.

Oh, and for what it's worth? The overwhelming majority of core creative roles on this film - writing, directing, cinematography, production - were all held by women. Hopefully this is just the start of a long corrective trend in film's gender imbalance, and that these exceptional ladies help inspire many more women filmmakers to do their stuff.

A new take on the buddy road trip -- two female leads and the apocalypse! Written by and starring Brea Grant and Vera Miao, and directed by Brea Grant, this movie is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous cinematography, remarkable performances by Grant and Miao, and strong storytelling about what can still be right when everything else is going wrong. I loved, loved, loved it.

I had the honor of seeing Best Friends Forever at the "Cinema at the Edge" film festival last year. I showed up roughly ten minutes late because I was accidentally lied to about the start time, then accidentally snuck into the wrong film. Snuck? Sneaked? Snook?

Anyway, no one noticed because they were all so deeply enthralled with the screen. I soon forgot that I had been sulking alone in a Wendy's parking lot only moments before, as BFF has that sort of power that takes away your troubles and inserts you directly into the moving picture. And it's in color!

I laughed throughout, except at the times when I wasn't supposed to. Then I had... whatever the correct emotional reaction to that specific moment was. Really, it's beautiful to look at (both the cinematography at the LaDiEs, amirite, HAAAyyyy!). If you like cute indie s*** and deep belly laughs and the end of the world, do yourself a favor and check out this movie. I did, and look at me now!

Really, it's a clever little film that feels way more expensive that it really was. There's no way BFF isn't going to be a cult classic in a couple years, so just get ahead of the curve and start telling your friends how much you liked it now. What do you think I'm doing?

A+, would watch again.
