5.0 out of 5 stars THIS BOOK IS HOT!
This was my first time reading Brenda Hampton. I enjoyed this book a lot. It was well written, the storyline flowed, it was believable and it had lots of drama. She is now on my list of favorite authors. I am ordering all of her books now based on the strength of this one. My best friend's man was one of the best books I read this summer. I could barely finish my next...

2.0 out of 5 stars Okay...
This book was okay...I would still recommend it, because the story does take off with a kick, but it sort of gets away from you in the middle. I finally finished it after a week. Normally I finish very good books in anywhere from 24 to 48 hours. However, I must say still pick one up, the author is very talented, I've read two other books by her, this was definitely not my...

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm going crazy talking to Miss Hampton's books, June 27, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
Never, ever, have I been so wrapped up into books like these. Have you ever talked to a book, laughed at what was said, cursed the characters out, attempted to snatch them out of the pages, pictured yourself right there with them and lost countless hours of sleep trying to finish it? Well, I did. I felt as if I was going crazy talking to these people who just couldn't get it together. Even though I liked Sylvia, what was wrong with her thinking it was okay to take her best friend's man? He did have it going on, but messing with your friend's man is a no no. I was tearful at the end because I wanted Jonathan to find happiness. Then again, maybe he did because he sure wasn't going to get it with Sylvia or Dana.

Foolishly, after I spent my entire Saturday reading this book, I started Miss Hampton's Two's Enough Three's A Crowd at almost midnight. LORD HAVE MERCY ON ME!! I woke my husband up after clowning so badly with this one. I'd already ignored him by being consumed with My Best Friend's Man, so I crept into the other bedroom to finish Two's Company. That wasn't until almost eight this morning, and now, I'm on Amazon getting ready to order the sequel to this book. I had to quickly write a review because this author is the best. I love EJD, Zane, and Michael Baisden, but...these books are the BOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMB! I'm a fan forever, even when I have to commit myself for going crazy while reading them. My husband seems to also think so...but wait until I get him to read them. I'm sure I'll get the same reaction...you just cant help yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS AUTHOR IS CUTTIN UP!!!, May 14, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
My Best's Friends Man is a lesson to be learned. It was a prime example of what's bound to happen to any woman who over steps her boundaries. Jonathan's wife, Dana, wasn't any better than Sylvia and neither one of them deserved him. The author's message was to trust the one you're with and if not, this will be the consequence. I can't stop sharing this novel with my friends and I truly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to read a drama filled, keep you on the edge of your seat, page turning novel as this one. Miss Hampton is cuttin up with her novels and is certainly making a name for herself in the literary scene. As long as it says written by Brenda M. Hampton, you won't be disappointed. She has yet to let me down!

5.0 out of 5 stars MISS HAMPTON NEEDS A STANDING OVATION, January 18, 2005
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
YES, YES, SHE DID IT AGAIN! RARELY DOES AN AUTHOR WRITE FIVE NOVELS THAT YOU JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF. I'M TORN BETWEEN ALL OF THEM: TWO'S ENOUGH, MY WAY OR NO WAY, HOW CAN I BE DOWN AND CHANGE DON'T ALL WAYS COME. I THINK MY BEST FRIEND'S MAN IS MY FAVORITE. I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS AND SYLVIA WAS MY FAVORITE. SHE WAS WRONG FOR SLEEPING WITH HER BEST FRIEND'S MAN, BUT DANA DIDN'T DESERVE TO HAVE HIM EITHER. JONATHAN'S CHARACTER WAS TOO ADDICTING AND WHEN JAYLIN FROM TWO'S ENOUGH CAME INTO THE SCENE, I COULD HAVE DIED. I LOVED IT! IT MADE THE STORY EVEN MORE BETTER AND I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN FOR NOTHING UNTIL I WAS FINISHED. FORGIVE ME FOR SAYING THIS, AND I DO HAVE MY OTHER FAVORITE AUTHORS, BUT THERE AIN'T NO AUTHOR OUT THERE WHO CAN COME CLOSE TO MS HAMPTON'S WRITING. SHE PUT HER FOOT INTO HER STORIES AND I'VE READ PLENTY OF BOOKS THAT WERE GOOD, BUT NOT AS GOOD AS HERS. THEY'RE SO GOOD THAT I CAN'T EVEN READ ANOTHER AUTHOR'S BOOK. I'VE TRIED, BUT I'M HOOKED ON HAMPTON. FROM WHAT I CAN SEE, SO ARE MANY OTHERS. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, KEEP THEM COMING. I'M A HUGE FAN AND SO IS MY HUSBAND. WHO NEVER READS.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'M HYPED, February 18, 2005
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
I've read ALL of this authors books and I'm hyped after this one. I was introduced to Ms. Hampton's novels by my hair stylist and I've been hooked ever since. For a first time reader I couldn't believe what I'd been missing out on. Two's Company Three's A Crowd was my first book ever, but Jalin discouraged me so much that I had to take a break from him. I couldn't resist being away for long so I jumped right back into his triology. When I got a hold to My Best Friends Man, I loved it so much that I had to email this author and tell her about her ability to make me a reader. Never did I think fiction reading could be so good. Since beginning my reading adventure I've enjoyed Zane, Carl Webber and Eric J. Dickey too. I'll keep on reading and thanks Miss Brenda for getting me started. Since you let Jalin go (thank God) do you think we'll get a sequel for My Best Friends Man? Hope so!

4.0 out of 5 stars MS. HAMPTON CAN PULL OFF ANYTHING, January 5, 2005
By
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
I only read this book because Ms. Hampton wrote it and so far all of her books have been off the chain. I enjoyed this book, but not as much as the others. I didn't like the way that the book ended. Alot of times I found myself mad because I thought of myself and I would KILL my best friend if she messed with my man rather I dogged him or not. I just can't totally get into books like "My Daughter's Boyfriend" and now "My Best Friend's Husband". It is something about crossing that line that sickens me. I thought that Johnathan's feelings were to deep for Sylvia. To me love should always prevail and somehow Johnathan should have been focused on his vows and the love he and his wife shared after he realized he was wrong. The drama I could stand because I guess it does happen and Ms. Hampton made it juicy, but I wish the ending was different. Like I said, Ms. Hampton can pull off anything.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE ROAD TO THE FINAL FOUR, August 23, 2004
This review is from: My Best Friend's Man (Paperback)
All novels written by Miss Brenda Hampton:My Best Friends Man, Two's Enough Three's A Crowd,How Can I Be Down, and My Way Or No Way are the BOMB! I had the pleasure of meeting this author a few weeks back, and since she was so genuine and beautiful both inside and out, I thought what the hell...I've got to support this sister definitely trying to do her thing. I read all four books in 3 days. Couldn't part with either of them for nothing in the world and when I sent her an email about my experience, she replied and made me feel my money was even more worth it. She's a writer that comes with a package of unbelievable talent, creativeness, and has much love and respect for her fans. Other writers should learn from her and if you haven't made your way to the final four, like I have, please don't let them pass you by.
