WESTSIDE!!! The Best Of The Two Albums....And More,
By
This review is from: The Best Of: The Gangsta/The Killa/The Dope Dealer (Audio CD)
Normally on greatest hits albums, all they do is get tracks you already have from their previous albums and throw them together with maybe an occassional 1 or 2 unreleased/out of print tracks to make it appealing (just look at Ice Cube's). However, that isn't the case here as I thought they put out one of the best "Greatest Hits" albums I've seen.Out of the 18 tracks on here, only 10 of them were off their albums. It's hard to pick tracks from Bow Down since the whole album is a classic but they did justice by picking the tracks they did and I thought they got the best tracks from the Terrorist Threats album as well. I wish I they would have added "Bangin' At The Party" from Terrorist Threats but you can't win them all. The rest were the majority of collaborations they've done together on either their own solo projects or other projects. You got the west coast classics (WC's "West Up" & "Cheddah", Mack 10's "Westside Slaughterhouse" & "Connected For Life") along with lesser known tracks (WC's "Walk" from Ghetto Heisman, "Nobody" from Mack 10's The Paper Route, "Bangin'" with Master P from the West Coast Bad Boyz II album). With the exception of "It's Tha Holidaze" from Friday After Next, I think they got every collaboration they've done together outside their two group albums. Bottom line is this, you if have everything that Mack 10 and W.C. have made or been involved in...there's nothing here that will appeal to you. However, if you only have the Westside Connection's two albums...this would appeal to you since only half the album is tracks from their albums. Bottom line, I highly recommend under these conditions.
