"The Best of the Gathering 2003-2004" is a compilation recorded during two years of the latest and best Irish Music Festival on the block, the Gathering in Killarney. The album has been made in aid of the Maurice O'Donoghue Instrument Fund, whereby instruments are purchased and given out on load to promising young musicians. The album features otherwise unavailable recordings of amongst others Jackie Daly, Paudie O'Connor (with the delightful Thadelo O'Sullivan's barndances), Noel Hill, John Carty and Joe Burke. All the tracks were recorded and mixed to a high quality by Ruairi O'Flaherty and Ally O'Riada.
