Book Description

Day-To-Day July 1, 2003
"How can it be a spy satellite if they announce on television that it's a spy satellite?" Good question. "If there really are multiple universes, what do they call the thing they're all part of?" Worth some thought. "Why don't they have a light bulb that only shines on things worth looking at?" Good point. This is why George Carlin is referred to as the "thinking man's comic." The politically incorrect Carlin has maintained a four-decade career arc and shows no signs of slowing down. With eighteen hit recordings, twelve HBO specials, film and television roles, and more than one hundred live performances a year, the Grammy winner continues to expand his already huge fan base. The Best of George Carlin 2004 Calendar will more than satisfy his fans and likely draw in new ones. It is based on Carlin's two best-selling books, "Brain Droppings", which has sold more than 750,000 copies and stayed onthe New York Times best-seller list for a total of nine months, and "Napalm & Silly Putty", which has sold more than 600,000 copies. That light bulb would definitely shine on this calendar.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very funny quotes!, September 25, 2003

This review is from: The Best Of George Carlin 2004 Day-To-Day Calendar (Calendar)
I couldn't wait till 2004 to start flipping through the days... This day-to-day calendar has some of the best of George Carlin's quotes from various books and comic routines, most of which are hysterical. There's about one a month that aren't that funny (perhaps you need to know more of the context in which it was used in?), but overall, most of the quotes are funny, and I can see this being a good calendar to put my on my desk and turning the page every morning to start my day off on the right foot.
