Explicit Version.Geto Boys (intentionally misspelled, although sometimes also spelled Ghetto Boys) is a rap group from Houston, Texas, consisting of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill. The Geto Boys earned notoriety for their lyrics dealing with violence, sex and death. The Geto Boys broke new ground with their soulful southern sound (perhaps a precursor to the Dirty South style), which was produced by people like Johnny C, Doug King, and later N.O. Joe and Mike Dean.

This joint hits hard with the unfailing and unrelenting assault of these 3mc's. Does this sample of the Geto Boys work do them justice? Yes, out of 25 songs only a couple sound dated or cagey the rest are crisp and fresh with timeless street knowledge delivered with true grit and humor as well. If you ain't got no Geto Boys but have been wanting to see how these cats lay it down, check it out yall, and if you use to have their stuff but got locked up and now wanna re-up, check it out yall, but don't listen to it before you see your parole officer.

This best of is great, however, the songs are shortened and I'm definitely not a big fan of that. A two disc would have been great with the actual length songs on it or even a single disc with the hits and the actual length. Also, who puts an intro on a best of?!? Just wasting time with B-sides and an intro for a best of. Could have been better.

nothing else to say other than "classic" album. If you enjoy the stories told by rappers then you will enjoy this. Geto Boys are legends and this is the album that made them legends.
