Best from the 70's!~,
By Alan Russo (Cambridge, MA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Best (Audio CD)
This collection is of the early works of Gino Vannelli. Songs that have been essential to his fans and career are here. Incudes some of his earlier singles like Crazy Life, Felicia, Mama Coco, People Gotta Move, Powerful People, Love Of My Life, Wheels Of Life and his biggest single I Just Wanna Stop. It also includes other favorites like One Night With You, Song And Dance, Brother To Brother, Fly Into This Night and his opus from A Pauper In Paradise, Black And Blue. There is also another popular album track from Brother To Brother called Appaloosa. The only song I wish were on her is Keep On Walking. He is the Italian macho man an pioneer of electronical music from the 70's. His voice is rich and full. His musical taste are dramatic yet sensual. Lots of Charisma on stage as well. These songs prove it! The time span is from 1973-1979, the A&M years. So missing are the 80's hits and the 90's jazz. Check out Ultimate Collection, as well, for a more diverse collection.

Great compilation (Gino looks like Patrick Moraz here, lol!),

A great compilation of songs! Yes, Gino does look like Patrick Moraz on this album cover (Patrick was the Swiss keyboardist who played with the band, YES, on their Relayer album, also a 5-star excellent album).
