The list author says: "My mom was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue (Disease) officially in 2006, but had begun to try Gluten Free recipes and GF cooking since the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2007, my brother was diagnosed. In 2008, my sister and I decided to make the lifestyle choice to go Gluten Free.
Since then, I have been dabbling in cookbooks, flour mixes, products, blogs...you name it. Here is a list of my favorite products. Most can be purchased through Amazon Subscribe & Save, which has been a hit for my whole family (now that we are all on our own).
"I have tried a ton of boxed chocolate chip cookie mixes. The best is Pamela's hands down. We cook ours to almost done/gooey as both cookies or a pan-cookie. The cookies hold together much better than other brands that have too much rice flour and are gritty or fall apart."
"Another cookie treat. I didn't think I would like hard boxed cookies that much. (I generally prefer hot out of the oven doughy ones). However, the ginger snaps melt in your mouth and have a lovely flavor."
"This is my main GF cookbook. Everything tastes gourmet. We love the crab cakes w/lemon sauce, the quiche and the wonderful cream cheese crust, the homemade crackers, the fruit crisps...I could go on forever."
"GF Pantry flour is the only flour I use. It has the best taste and can be substituted for flour in any recipe. It is truly amazing! FYI-I tried Bob's Red Mill and he uses garbanzo beans in his mix and everything I cooked always tasted like lentils (lentil cake is gross), so I switched to this and never looked back."
