Many (and I really do mean MANY) years ago I saw a Pierce Brosnan movie that closed with the song "My Way" done in a Latin American style with some SERIOUSLY impressive guitar work and vocals that (although I don't know the language) would have, and should have, knocked Frank Sinatra right on his can! AND WAIT; there's more! My reaction to and desire for this song led me on a chase that lasted a number of years until I found out the band was the Gipsy Kings and finally got my first CD: "Love & Liberte'" which I have quite literally played into the ground. These guys are AMAZING! Their guitar work (largely acoustic) easily rivals Little Feat (with Lowell George) and would also impress the Eagles (think of the rerelease of "Hotel California" where at one point it sounds like at least 6 total 6 and 12 string guitars are at the crossroads playing for their lives. YES, the Gipsy Kings are that good. Don't make the mistake of getting hung-up on the language difference (if there is one). GET HOOKED ON THE MUSIC!
I defy anyone to listen to this CD and not find more that just a few things to love about it..... I find new ones every time I listen to anything they've done.

I chose this CD to expand my GK collection and was disappointed. Many of the cuts can be found on Mosaique and I wasn't moved by the others. If you're a first-time GK listener or looking to add to your existing collection, buy Mosaique. It is an excellent representation of the remarkable work of this group.

This is a great introduction / overview of the music of the Gipsy Kings. If you like this disk, you will want to consider looking further into their work.

I bought this CD for my hip but picky 68-year-old brother. He was skeptical at first, but soon he was singing cuts from the CD, and then later he told me he planned to make copies for all four of his vehicles.

This is a great album to listen to. I have heard their songs ever since I was a teen living in the UK. This mix is good for novices and regular Gypsy Kings listeners. I highly recommend it. The price of this CD (incl. S&H)was really reasonable too. Thanks!

I saw the Gipsy Kings in St. Louis, Mo very recently and were disappointed they didn't have any cd's for sale. I immediately went on Amazon.com and purchased several of their cd's, including this one. Their music is very uplifting! At their concert, it was impossible to stay seated ... people were dancing in front of their seats, in the aisles, and in front of the stage. It was incredible! Their music is like none other I've ever heard. This cd contains many songs that will have you tapping your feet, and have you wanting to dance no matter where you are. It's impossible to stay "still". They are an extremely talented group of musicians! Awesome cd! Priced at a bargain! I would buy any of their cds.

Best compilation of Gipsy King. I run it over and over in my car!

Nothing but a commercialized grouping of so-called "hits." The recording itself is poorly done with little thought to overall sonic quality.
