I'm a second-generation Herman fan, the comic is hysterical. Dry, very British humour, and as long as that's for you, Herman is the best comic ever!

Going to need to update my collection-- mine are so worn through from reading the pages are falling out!!! Herman is hysterical, and I can't get enough of it.

I used to read Herman comic strip on my way to work in the 70's-90's riding the subway
in New York City,when I was in my early 20's.
Now anyone who has ridden that subway knows you need a diversion and
some laughs. Herman never let me down, he set my mood for the day. He told us not to
take life too serious. He showed us, all of us, our foibles, our insecurities, our foolishness, our
playfulness, our relationship idiosyncrasies, our love of laughing, our lives.
What a mirror he held up to us all, and we are all the better for it because
he simply made us laugh at ourselves.
I have all his books, and am now, in my mid 50's just
discovering some strips I missed which are true gems.
I would read ANYTHING Jim Unger created, especially this
THE BEST OF HERMAN, hilarious.
He is a comic genius, the likes of which we may never see again.

I love you Herman (oh and yeah you too Jim Unger!!) Thank you!

Our whole family loves Herman...what more can I say. These are books, you can't just read alone, you will want to share the cartoons with others around you. Jim Unger exaggerates real life situations of all sorts. These are laugh out-loud type of jokes.

This book is VERY funny in sometimes a stupid way or ways. Things always happen to him, and he's always stoic through them all. You should read this book
