Inspired by this quick-to-read to-the-point business book, September 6, 2009
This review is from: The Best Ideas are Free: And so here are 63 digestible bites to chew on (Paperback)
Ben Young writes in an easy-to-read understandable"get-right-to-the-point" manner and he covers the latest topics, not all the old advice you can get almost anywhere. After reading this book I have great new ideas for my business and I'm am inspired to keep going. I'm made of rubber! I got that from Chapter Four, where Young says, "There are times when things go sour and all falls apart, you've hit rock bottom. No you haven't. This is just a part of the process of getting to where you need to go, you're made of rubber, so you need to bounce back, harder, faster and higher than before." Absolutely, and I love the visual image of bouncing back. This is a great book to keep and read at least several times a year!

Digestible, Tasty and Nourishing Food for Thought, August 18, 2009
This review is from: The Best Ideas are Free: And so here are 63 digestible bites to chew on (Paperback)
Ben's done a great job with this book. It pays more than a fair 'homage' to Seth Godin's - "Small is a New Big" - BUT the important thing is that the ideas are interesting, useful and plentiful. So "Get at it", as we like to say 'down-under' here in New Zealand, and pick-up a copy of this book. You'll see the online world from a different and fresh perspective. It might even turn it upside down :-)

Inspiration for an open mind., October 26, 2009
This review is from: The Best Ideas are Free: And so here are 63 digestible bites to chew on (Paperback)
If you're thinking, or needing to think outside the box this book is an incredible launching ramp. Rather than crawling through pages of material angled at selling a specific direction or thought, this book is pitched towards setting the platform and throwing enough spanners in the works to have you walking away with your own inspiration rather than the wrote knowledge of another. I read this book on and off over a month of traveling around South East Asia and returned home with a book full of ideas and motivation to kick back off with. Top read.

An inspiring but practical read from a young author, August 19, 2009
This review is from: The Best Ideas are Free: And so here are 63 digestible bites to chew on (Paperback)
The Best Ideas Are Free is the book I credit for driving me to me to create my first blog. Ben is an entrepreneurial and aspirational writer, but what I've most enjoyed in the book is that the "ideas" are practical, fast and simple to implement. No business book will contain everything you need to start a new business but this book is a good gift to give a client that's still not sure about how their business will be affected by this whole "twitter, facebook, youtube, blog" thing.
