This review is from: Best of Jefferson Airplane (Audio CD)
I love Jefferson Airplane. Featuring the legendary vocals of Marty Balin and Grace Slick, as well as the roaring guitars of Jorma Kaukonen as well as legendary Bay Area bassist Jack Casady.
And this looks like a great set (I don't own it), but there are so many that are better. Do yourself a favor and buy their 1970 compilation 'The Worst Of Jefferson Airplane.' It's got all of the best-of standards and deep album cuts. And it's a great mix. But, this is still great. I like that they included 'Blues From An Airplane' and 'Wooden Ships,' two songs that don't regularly appear on compilation albums from Airplane. Overall, if you are just starting your Airplane collection, than this set will work just fine. But there are better ones. Recommended for the new Airplane fan. |
