"I'm different today hey, hey!" appropriate intro,

I think the novelty of this CD is worth something. I was a child of the "Me Generation" of the 1970s, and the youngsters of today didn't know John Travolta as a young sitcom actor. Unfortunately, a lot of us did. In those days, such a "celebrity" could easily become a pop-music "star" (dubious distinction) by singing/putting out an album. Such performers didn't need to sing any better than you or me. In the 1976 track "Let Her In," John Travolta proves that point. It's one of the most awful vocal recordings ever committed to vinyl, which is no small feat. His rendering of "It Had to be You" is a close second. But in all credit to Travolta. He learned from his setbacks in his career and used them to better himself. He was in good voice in the movie soundtrack for "Grease" in 1978, a far cry from the earlier attempts here. I think it's summed up well in the opening line of "Let Her In," a good career update for him: "I'm different today hey, hey!" And for that, we should be glad.

I never could understand why Travolta didn't become a huge singing star.I loved his voice, and he had HUGE hits from "Grease"and his first single,"Let Her In."This CD has all of his main hits, and some songs I never heard before.
