I first heard Jona Lewie years and years ago through a freind who always seemed to find unique and interesting music. It was an ep, that's how long ago it was, and I have been searching for Jona Lewie discs ever since. I was so happy to finally find this compilation available. It has the five songs I wanted, and actually forgot about a couple of them. His catchy and variable styles of music are all here. Definetly a must get.

An underrated master of the indie sound of the early 80's Jona Lewie combines catchy tunes, a bouncy beat witty lyrics and is always memorable. Can be used as party music or music to relax with-a multi-dimensional work of soft rock, disco, indie, new wave, progressive rock, electronica and even a reggae flavour here and there.

Of course there's the classic 'Stop the Cavalry'-the song of the universal soldier and a Christmas hit too to boot.

Includes tunes like the reminiscent 'You'll always find me in the kitchen at parties", the soulful 'The Seed that always died' , the new wave sound of Louise We Get it right' the electrifying 'Big Shot-momentarily the stirring 'Halleluljah Europa' and the romantic 'Laughing Tonight'.

A real lesser known gem of the fantastic early 80s music

This fun album will remind you of the Disco era. The Christmas carol is wonderful! I don't know many artists who create original Carols. Very creative and original music. "Big Shot" is real cool. Love all the songs.

- I have luckily held on to my vinyl picturedisc "on the other hand theres a fist" - but is there anything else available on cd...

This man has always been selling "hard to find" records. I think I have them all, but being able to travel trough a decade of his music on one CD is just fantastic! Enjoy the brilliance of this man and the magic of his music! For synthlovers and people who like to have fun!
