My main interest is the guitar and this muisc satisfies on many levels, including some choice guitar playing. SALMAN AHMAD's main influences are HENDRIX and PAGE and he does both of these giants justice. While not a GUITAR cd as such, it has some fabulous moments that should satisfy most guitar nuts. It is the music that takes center stage at all times. Brilliant compositions that reflect many influences and incorporate a strong mid eastern and arabic flavour. A strange hybrid indeed, but it works on all but one track. The singing is mostly in arabic and should turn you off, but again, strangely it doesn't and is totaly appropiate for this music. I can now sing in a language that I cannot understand while air guitaring my way around the living room and having a ball. This music is infectuous and touches you in the most unexpected ways. Great vocals, astonishing compositions and top shelf virtuosity by all 3 musos make this a must have if you are looking for something different that will floor your guests at the next party. Not one person I have played this for did not come away impressed asking where this could be bought.
If this is WORLD MUSIC, give me more!!!!!
