I had been looking forward with much anticipation to this book and I'm very happy to say that it didn't disappoint.
Some erotica anthologies are hit or miss and some will include three or four scintillating stories amid several mediocre ones. Perhaps I'm a little biased, as my story made it into the book this year, but I really thought the collection was exquisite. Everything was exactly as Sinclair Sexsmith said it would be in their introduction: hot, smart about gender, and always good writing. And not fluff. Stories like these are important--each and every one of these stories are subversive and their own form of activism, and not forgetting, of course, that they're also quite a turn on. A must read, a must buy. I show it off proudly and say "look at what these writers can do." I so cannot believe I get to see my work next to theirs.
And do yourself a favor and try to find a Best Lesbian Erotica reading. It's so much fun to hear. :0)
