It's something how we embrace an artist's body of work - dusting off (in this case) the albums and CDs - once they're no longer with us. In the past week, I've been reminded of just how expansive Gerald Levert's music catalogue is - good, quality music. His sudden departure has stunned the entertainment world.

Cleveland, and the world, has lost a major talent.

These guys when they got together, created amazing music. They had some pretty big hits and it's still music that I love listening too. Their biggest hits (all going to number one on the R&B charts) are here such as (Pop Pop Pop) Goes My Mind, Addicted To You, Just Coolin and my personal favourite, Casanova.
The amazing late Gerald Levert not only showed his talnet on vocals but was one of the producers here. This is a great cd that I have recently put on my iPod just so I can hear it at any time. I really love it and totally recommend it for all R&B fans and anyone who want's to hear some fantastic vocals.

This is very good CD what a CD to just sit down and listen to,and think about Gerald LeVert,one of the great songs on this CD is Bring Back The Good Old Days,this is a must have CD.

As a big part of Levert, he will always be remembered for his giant hit Casanova. His great talent will be missed. May he Rest In Peace !!

I remember in 1984 when Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop (goes my mind) was just released. LeVert wasn't widely known then so they felt comfortable parousing the halls of Randall Park Mall (North Randall, OH-a small suburb of Cleveland, OH). Remembering each other from study hall @ Shaker Heights High School, when Gerald and I spotted each other, we both threw our hands up to recognize each other saying hello. Afterwards, the group blew up!

My husband & I married the summer of 1986 (both hailing from Shaker Heights High School) so to support the hometown boys, we purchased all of the early LeVert hits which set many romantic moods for us. Casanova, My Forever Love & Addicted to you just to name a few. It seemed the boys couldn't strike a wrong chord. C-town was so proud of the hometown boys.

Gerald's musical direction (in my opinion) took a different turn once he began his solo career so I didn't keep track. However, the untimley deaths of Gerald then Sean did rekindle my memories of their earlier hits which led me to purchase "The Best of LeVert".

It's a cool purchase for lovers of the original LeVert style.

Levert to me was the best stuff on a whole that Gerald Levert did. "Cassanova",Pop.Pop goes my mind,etc... Gerald Levert was a real Singer who always bought it Live. He sounded just like Father along with sounding like Teddy Pendergrass&a few other Cats. Rope a Dope Style was cool back in the day as well. these songs were cool back in the day,but Gerald was just a down to Earth Soul Brother. He left us far too soon.

I've always loved Levert music and I think this cd has all my favorite songs on it. It's a wonderful cd. It's the type of cd that you can play on repeat. I recommend this cd to all married couples. And I also suggest I've Been Waiting as a honeymoon songs.

I had no idea how far this CD would take me back! I'm just 25, so it only took me back to middle school, but I was so excited to hear all this wonderful music that they rarely play anymore. I can't even remember the last time I heard "My Forever Love", but it is so beautiful that it just may be my wedding song. It doesn't matter how many years have gone by, all of these tracks are still jamming! So many hits on one album. Definitely a party CD! Please pick this one up. You will NOT be disappointed!

Here is a CD that captures what the 90s music was about. Levert has, in this CD, packaged the emotions and spirit of time in what would remain the best representation of an era that will be solely missed by those who experienced it. You may be the stiffest person on earth, but a track like "Casanova" will get you dancing however you can. The song "ABC-123" is a trully great slow jam that will not disappoint. If '90s music mean anything to you, then this CD is one to get.
