Lita Ford, Still the Queen of Noize.....,
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
Just when you thought she'd left the music scene entirely, Lita pulls out all the stops to provide the world of rock'n'rollers a little wake-up call. "Are you ready", Lita asks at the beginning of the fourth track, 'Hungry', and she really means it! This album takes off at a ferocious pace with Lita's screamin' guitar and kick a** vocals on 'What Do You Know About Love', afterward she injects you with a 'Shot of Poison' and then seals your fate with 'Kiss Me Deadly'. She then slows down with a killer cover of Alice Cooper's,'Only Women Bleed', (this one should have been sang by Lita in the first place!) Look out now, cuz Lita jacks you back up with 'Playin' with Fire','Gotta Let Go' and 'Back to the Cave' and what would a "Best of Lita" album be without the famous power ballad, 'Close My Eyes Forever', featuring Ozzy Osbourn. Now how many females have shared the stage with Ozzy? Just one, LITA FORD, and this is why she has carried the title "The Queen of Noise" for so long. She has yet to be de-throned, so you won't want to miss this album!

Lita + Ozzy = Unbelievable,
By A Customer
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
I bought this CD only knowing "Close My Eyes Forever" the song Lita does with Ozzy. It is a perfect 80's type slow song, with 90's riffs and lyrics. All the other songs are tru rockers. This is a "listen all the way" album, you won't be dissapointed

F***ing fun!,

Some of the reviews her take shots at Lita's singing or writing, but the CD is a blast and there aren't any women in the music scene today that have a chance in hell of replacing Lita. Avril? Britney? Jessica? They aren't even close! Whose got the sexuality and metal attitude and can play gutiar and deliver high intensity fun the way Lita does on this CD? NOBODY! Those who pick on Lita's music on this page need to check their ears, and, if they are claiming to be men, check their pants and make sure they still got cajones 'cause if you don't get it ya must be oglin Elton John. Get this CD and remember the glory days before little brats mucked up the music scene and turned it once again into a sterile disco wasteland.

Hail to my all time rock'roll diva,
This review is from: Best of (Audio CD)
"Close my eyes forever", "Only women bleed" and "Lisa" are still three of the best ballads ever written. So ten stars. And Lita's power songs still ... rocks your soul for rock'n roll! Together with other big rock or pop anthems of the 80's, she marked my teenage definitively. Thank you for your music, Lita! You will ever be our Queen of hearts.

Lita rocks!!!!,

Just when you thought she'd left the music scene entirely, Lita pulls out all the stops to provide the world of rock'n'rollers a little wake-up call. "Are you ready", Lita asks at the beginning of the fourth track, 'Hungry', and she really means it. This album takes off at a ferocious pace, slows down with a killer cover of Alice Cooper's "Only Women Bleed", and puts a lump in your throat with the song written for her mother, "Lisa". Lita makes sure to take you back to her earlier days with the tune, 'Gotta Let Go', as well as provide her fans with a previously unreleased track that cranks entitled, "Hellraiser". Indeed Lita is a hellraiser, since she has been the Queen of Noise for the past decade. You won't want to miss this album!

In my twisted mind Lita Ford is female Axl Rose. She rocks like no female artist have ever rocked before or after. And this cd represents whoshe really is. all tracks on this album are treasure. mighty ballad collaboration with Ozzy, cover of Alice Cooper's "Only women bleed", best of her own rock tunes. what more can you ask for? I think she deserves way more respect than Joan Jett & Melissa Etheridge. people, buy this album!!!

Hungry for Lita,

Lita Ford became well-known for "The Runaways" in which she was a guitarist. Her solo carriere is also very famous. Her style is hard rock like it was during The Runaways. This collection is quite good...there's a couple of songs that bother me. Those songs are "Gotta Let Go" and "Only Women Bleed". Both songs are boring and "Only Women Bleed" is a Alice Cooper cover...one of the songs that I don't like. It is maybe the worst song Alice Cooper has in his collection. Other songs are very good. The duet "Close My Eyes Forever" with Ozzy Osbourne is maybe Lita Ford's best known song ever. "Lisa" is a great ballad...it is a great closing track for this collection. I wonder where's "Cherry Red" from "Stiletto". It is one of greatest songs Lita Ford has ever sung. Of course there's songs that made Lita Ford more popular...the erotic song "Hungry"...the wild songs "Kiss Me Deadly", "Shot of Poison", "Back to the Cave", "Playin' With Fire" etc.
Stars: Close My Eyes Forever, Hungry, Kiss Me Deadly, What Do Ya Know About Love

Lita Ford is an exception to the rule - the best rock songs have male vocals. Vixen? Ok... Pat Benetar? Sure... Joan Jett? Alright... maybe not "all" - but given a choice, most rockers might agree with the premise that only guys can punch out great rock. Lovely Lita, however, is an honest stand-out. I can image myself being a "groupie" for her ("The Rose" comes to mind suddenly). She plays pure guitar and her voice make me wonder, "Who hears that every morning when they wake?" A gorgeous gal, a musical miracle, and a rocker welcome in my head anytime. We love you, Lita. Keep on Rockin' us to dreamland with you...je
