THE Blues Harp Master!,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Best of Little Walter, Vol. 2 (Audio CD)
Little Walter is still the best blues harp player, and these 12 tracks show why. This disc is more uptempo than the original "Best Of" album, which was released in 1958. Some of the classic tracks include: "Crazy Mixed Up World", "Boom Boom, Out Go The Lights", "Key To The Highway" and "Mellow Down Easy". All these tracks are from the Chess/Checker archives, and have been remastered. More tracks could have been added here, since the CD playing time is a bit on the short side (the track "Flying Saucer", among others, would have been a nice addition), but it's still a solid package just the same! If you love blues music, this is one CD that is sure to please. It gets plenty of spins in my CD player, and I'm sure you'll like it too.

LITTLE WALTER WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST BLUES HARP PLAYERS, AND HE WAS A MAINSTAY IN CHICAGO DURING ITS' BLUES HEYDAY IN THE 1950'S. THESE ARE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS FROM CHESS RECORDS FROM THAT TIME. GREAT R&B.
