I had never heard of Los Indios Tabajaras, but I love guitar music. After reading everyone's reviews and listening to song samples, I purchased "Serie Platino: 20 Exitos" and "Maria Elena/Always in My Heart." After listening to these albums, I decided to purchase "Best of Los Indios Tabajaras." I love them all, and although many of the songs are repeated on the other albums, I can't get enough of all three of these albums.
--- Serie Platino: 20 Exitos: This album is all instrumental and very relaxing, beautiful music, and at this low price, it is a real bargain. If you are looking for total relaxation - this is the album for you. Bare bones CD insert - no additional information. --- Maria Elena/Always in My Heart: This album makes my list of favorites. It is a mix of singing and instrumental. Some songs are sweet and soothing, others are much livelier. If you want to experience a variety of music - this is the album for you. Also, the CD insert gives interesting background information on "Los Indios Tabajaras." --- Best of Los Indios Tabajaras ($35.99): I debated about the price, but I have no regrets. My favorite songs on this album are "El Condor Pasa", "Green Eyes", and "Angelitos Negros." For your information, the CD insert lists the songs in both English and Japanese; however, the rest of the insert is in Japanese.

Best of Los Indio Tabajaras,
By Darlene Phillips "DIP" (Houston, Tx. USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Best of Los Indios Tabajaras (Audio CD)
I purchased one of each of the albums that you are showing. There are of course a lot of duplicates but it simply doesn't matter as all the songs are so great. I've had them about a month and I've almost worn them out. I have them in my car, my office and home. They've been around a long time and bring back such pleasant memories. Anyone that enjoys good guitar music will certainly enjoy this and all the other. Thanks for making them available.

Classical Guitar Innovators and World Music Virtuosos,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Best of Los Indios Tabajaras (Audio CD)
Los Indios Tabajaras recorded around 48 albums, mostly on the RCA label-but this one is a rare Japanese release only recently available in the USA. These are all different recordings of even their familiar hits, and there are some interesting variations on these versions. Antenor Lima passed away in the late 90s; and sadly Nato Lima recently passed away in NYC at 91 years old. Los Indios were not only classical guitar innovators with their incredible never-before-heard arrangements; but they were also playing "World Music" before there was even a name for it!
In recent years their music has been rediscovered by fans of retro exotica, lounge music, and space-age bachelor pad chic; as well as serious students and collectors of classical guitar recordings and arrangements. This is one of the few albums they recorded in Japan, and a great album, at that...relaxing and romantic.
