I went through a crazy Marc Bolan obsession when I bought this book. It has really good transcriptions of each song, and to my ear is pretty close to what the album does. The only problem w/this book is the song selection. For some reason they pick out a lot of the older stuff which isn't really all that exciting to play on guitar. A lot of the older songs are simple boogies, or very easy chord progressions. I knew this going in, but I hadn't heard much of his work beyond Slider and didn't realize the songs were like that. If you're like me and like Electric Warrior and Slider then there are a few cuts on here for you but the rest is older stuff. Jeepster is a good one to know, and the little lead licks are fun to learn. I loved figuring out Debora as well. Hot Love is a great song but it's so easy to figure out on your own you don't really need the tab. Jewel and Elemental Child would have been welcome additions to the book as they could have challenged us more experienced guitarists. Also, stuff like Buick McKane, Slider, Lifes A Gas, Rip Off, and Raw Ramp are the kind of songs real Rex fans want in their tab books. Not this weak Laser of Love junk. If you want better tab books I'd say get the Jimmy Hendrix's Are You Experienced book and definitely get the Chuck Berry Book by Hal Leonard. Once you get that stuff down you'll pretty much be able to pick apart the songs in this book on your own.
