If your a reggae fan, lovers rock, dancehall, classic musician/ songwriter mellow rock from the 70's & 80's, this disc will have something for you. I have been a fan of Maxi's for 13+ years from reggae music programs here in the US, even before he had mainstream hits. This CD provides a great collection of Maxi's pre-1992 hits. Great rhythms, make you feel good listening to this album. It's uplifting, sensual, and still great to listen to nearly 10 years later. From his mid-eighties early stuff to early nineties hits this is great passionate music. Listening to it again, I forgot how much I loved this music. This is a great style of music. I wish reggae stayed in this format, switched way to much to rap in late 90's. This is an album that's great for cruising in the car, have dinner with a date, even having on in the office with headphones. Buy it, you won't be sorry.

Simply The Best,

I still remember 14years back, when I was just crusing with my boyfriend around the island where I went to college , and he started playing the new tape he just bought earlier that afternoon. It was Maxi's and I was simply mesmerized by how 'Wild world' and 'Some guys have all the luck' sounded. I did not know anythinhg about reggae including Maxi back then but that was it! After I first heard 'Some guys have all the luck', I'd become one of the biggest reggae fans in the world in general and of Maxi Priest in particular. I try to take as many chances as possible to attend to his concert and trust me, as a Korean who currenltly lives in Korea, it ain't that easy.Maxi is. to me, still the best and the most favorite of all time. Now that we have this CD which is a collection of just a few of his best songs from vintage to contemperary, you will be more than satisfied. Scank, groove or just chill out with it. The whole CD is full of joy and the spirit of Rastafari!!! One Love!

This is an excellent album, how unfortunate that the song Goodbye To Love, was missing. My favourites are Wild World, Close To You, House Call feat Shabbah, Some Guys Have All the Luck, and Woman In You. All in all a must have album, if you are a Maxi Priest fan or simply a fan of reggae music.

I bought this album initially in its LP format and have enjoyed it for years. Now that my husband has decided he likes Maxi Priest as well I got the CD. Although there are some songs I would have included and others excluded from this "best Of" album it is still a great album. Yes Maxi Priest is "reggae lite" compared to the inimitable Bob Marley and Gregory Isaacs. But his is a summer time beat that is about relaxing on the beach and having a good time. We like his version of "Some Guys Have All The Luck". All Maxi Priests covers are better than the originals. I recommend this album for easy listening in the car and on course hanging out on the beach

This album has a number of terrific songs while also being recorded using great sound quality. This album has been a hit for everyone I have bought it for. Reggae yes but also contains a great range of songs that are more soul/jazz to me-Crazy Love has a great sax part in the opening. Strongly recommend this album. Close to You has been played on WLOQ here in sunny Orlando, FL. Don't pass this great CD up!

Wow! I first heard this disc being played at Rum Point on Grand Caman Island while I was relaxing in a hammock. The bar was empty, but they had their speakers blaring so that the music could be heard outside. I was drinking a Mudslide at the time (a popular C.I. drink) when this fantastic music came on. I went in to enquire....it was Maxi Priest. I loved it then and I love it now. This is by far the best disc to get. It truly does have all of his best music on this disc. Whoever chose these songs knew what they were doing. However, you can't go wrong getting any other of his discs, as I have! So, grill some burgers, drink your favorite beverage, crank up Maxi Priest, and dance in the sun.

Maxi Priest is wonderful. I forgot he is such a good artist. His old-school jams are the best! (My favorite being 'House Call' featuring Shabba Ranks). I highly recommend this one if you haven't heard Maxi lately.

What an album. I found this album in Malaga for 8 dollars and told myself ^You gotta buy it^. I got it and listened it and I can tell that nearly all songs are Hits. My best songs are Close to you & Wild world which were so famous about 10 years ago but still you can find lots of reasons to listen these tracks. Maxi priest is the king of reggae after B.Marley no doubt on that. And if you are looking for some real stuff and show your cd collection to your friends, you gotta buy this cause wtihout this cd i can't call my collection a Collection.
