Best Del Vikings Collection Available, September 26, 2005

The Mercury Records compilation is the best-sounding Del Vikings CD available, and is very generous at 25 tracks on a single disc. Although it doesn't include the group's two most famous hits, 'Come Go With Me' and 'Whispering Bells', which weren't recorded for Mercury, there are a number of other numbers - 'A Sunday Kind of Love', 'Cool Shake',and the less-familiar 'There I Go' and 'Oh Tonight', for example - which will be appreciated by any fan of r'n'b group harmony. You will also need to buy either the 'For Collectors' Only' 2-disc on Collectables or the less-expensive 'Hip-O' label disc in order to get the two classic hits mentioned above, but you also should get this one to round out your Del/Dell-Vikings collection.
