4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD FOR THE NOVICE LISTENER....
It is great to see that Mint Condition was included in the 20th Century Masters Series. Mint Condition was long overdue in my opinion to be added to this series. The CD includes all the hits "Breakin My Heart", "What Kind Of Man Would I Be" and "U Send Me Swingin" to name a few. But songs like "If You Love Me" and "Is This Pain Our Pleasure" from the Elektra Records...

3.0 out of 5 stars Enjoy the hits!
This cd provides a collection of the great early hits and a few B-side tunes, that I was unfamiliar to me. On that note, it did not meet my expectations, but for others, it may be great. I am a selective fan of Mint Condition, especially of their ballads; not real big on their uptempo tunes.

But songs like "If You Love Me" and "Is This Pain Our Pleasure" from the Elektra Records recording are for some reason missing. Maybe due to some legal matter. Overall I rate the CD 4 stars but you owe it to yourself to pick up there newer material to really get a good feel for the evolution of Mint Condition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally underrated @}->---, July 26, 2006

Mint Condition are the best band to be slightly under the radar. They are excellent and their career has spanned so many underrated years.
Breakin My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes) is an absolute classic and yet it's hardly known. The other amazing songs here are You Don't Have To Hurt No More (the best song from Definition Of A Band), What Kind Of Man Would I Be and Forever In Your Eyes. I think I own every cd of theirs and this does represent so many of their best songs. Livin The Luxury Brown is a little more funky, but this stuff here is the classic R&B I've always loved them for. Great cd and I highly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definition Of A band, October 1, 2007

........ as in a R&B/Funk/Rock band. The demise of the black band is a sad reflection of the state of black music at the moment, but that aside, this CD showcases the best songs from the following CDs: Meant to Be Mint, From the Mint Factory, Definition of a Band, & Life's AquariumI do love the funk offering of 'Nobody does it better, but where Mint Condition excel is in their mid-tempo ballads. Songs like 'U send me swingin', 'So Fine' (ruff), what kind of Man (with insightful lyrics dealing with the issue of adultery/cheating), and the big full blown stomper 'Breakin' My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes). Although most of these songs were released in the 90s, they do not sound dated, proof, if any was needed, that great songs never date. This is a good CD to start your discovery of Mint Condition, and I for one aim to purchase their other CDs. (the latest of which is:Livin' the Luxury Brown

The best is right and thats no joke about this CD. The quality of sound is on the one as well as was the cost. The seller shows that care is at the top of the list
when it comes to the discs.

Mint Condition is one of my all time favorite male groups. It is nice to have this collection in my collection just to go back and listen to "So Fine" as many times as I want to. It never gets old. They send me "Swingin'"

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the great bands of 90s r&b, July 20, 2008
This review is from: The Best of Mint Condition: 20th Century Masters - Millennium Collection (Audio CD)
I have always been a fan of Mint Condition and their music and I considered them to be a group that was very laid back until I saw them in concert recently. I was quite surprised by their performance. Even with the lineup change the band still seems to have the same chemistry that has made them successful over the years. The band was very lively and energetic on stage and they put on a good show. I purchased this cd about 4 months ago and I was slightly disappointed because even though this is a good representation of their hits it is not a total representation. I would still recommend this cd for all Mint Condition fans.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bringing Back Memories, March 12, 2008
This review is from: The Best of Mint Condition: 20th Century Masters - Millennium Collection (Audio CD)
I kept hearing the song playing in my head and started to think about what I was doing when it came out. This is the reason I purchased the CD. I am so glad that I was able to purchase it at such a reasonable price. It was like I went to the store and bought it the day it was released! I was so excited to have it. It sounds awesome; it was everything I expected it to be.
