Waiting in my dreams !,

Great 80's band/amazing 'best of' collection/ blah blah blah. note TRACK 12: 'Waiting in my dreams' is AWESOME and previously only available as a bootleg demo from the album PULL. The Chorus is very hooky. A true gem and nearly lost treasure. The mix of this song is top notch. The bridge is very cool too with lots of stock M-1 pitch bend panflutes and a huge gated/room early 90s kick and snare. Plenty of text book Mr Mr chants like 'whoaa-ohh' also to enjoy on this rare track.

OK, I'll admit it. The only song I remember hearing by Mr. Mister is their wonderful single, "Broken Wings." But now I have this collection and I'll say emphatically that far from being a one-song group, they have a breadth of style and a depth of harmonic and melodic skills that let them come up with this bunch of songs that'll make you tap your fingers, rock your head, or maybe even dance. These songs will certainly make you smile, help relieve your cares and lift your spirits. Dare I say it, this music will make you feel good. It's got a relentless surge of optimism and romance, and a heck of a good beat. This is a gifted group, and their music is a treasure.

Pretty Good!,

Clearly, Mr.Mister was trying to sound like and be the American version of the Police.{Note,"Control" from "Go On".} If you ask me, I think that they were a pretty good band who were trying to be popular. I saw them as a warm up act for Don Henley in the Eighties, and they were just great! I think that "Go on" could have and would have been better if the single hadn't been "Something real [inside me/inside you." Their second album,"Welcome to the Real World," was definetly the best. Just buy that, because it had all the best hits. In general, Mr.Mister was one of those bands that was good, but didn't get too much publicity.

As far as I can tell these guys are as clean as a whistle, meaningful and morally correct lyrics along with stellar musicianship and production. These guys had a sound all their own that was both entertaining AND thought provoking, if only they would make a comeback!

For anyone looking for Mr Mister hits songs and want the best sound quality then this collection is for you. The remastering on this release is excellent. Compared to the original releases of these songs or other hits collections, this release blows them all away regarding remastering work and sound quality. Did I mention that it sounds AWESOME? :}

Fabulous,

I really love this compilation of Mr. Mister, all the songs are great, have good rhythm and harmony and are fun songs to listen to. It takes me back to the 80's and I also feel that Mr. Mister is very underrated they were one of the best groups of the 80's. My personal favorite has always been "Broken Wings", but really I love all of the songs on this disc, they all make me feel really good.

HEllo Everyone! This music has a very personal meaning for me, especially "broken wings" In 1985 that is when my husband who has recently gone on to heaven, and I heard this song and we were actually experiencing the words to this song. 25 years later I heard it again a few weeks after He passed on. It was no coincidence. I hadn't heard that song in all that time. I had to learn how to live again and this song really sunk in. You never know the far reaching effects a song can have in your life, this one helped me to move forward with alot of help from Our Father in Heaven. I wish Richard Page and the rest of the guys knew, how it helped me but they will some day. I enjoyed the rest of the songs too. Thank you. Eileen Hines

This Best Of collection is just that, a GREAT collection of songs and Hits by a greatly under-rated Pop rock group from the 1980's. Great Lyrics and Vocals and Musicianship!!!

I've always been a fan of the 2 main hits people would know Mr Mister for but decided I needed to hear whether they had anything else good. Based upon what other people had said about the band, I was sure I wouldn't be disappointed and yes, the rest of the album takes you right back to the days of the 80s. It's actually a great read through the album information too so worth it just from the perspective...
