For First Timers and Old Timers Alike,

An excellent collection of Nik Kershaw hits, remixes, album tracks and B-sides. The album "Works" gets mentioned in the liner notes, but no tracks on the album. But as I'm not a huge fan of that album, that's forgiveable. Pop/rock fans should have this one in their collection.

One of the most underrated musicians of the past 25 years...,

this came out around 1998 so it mainly included Nik's Halcyon Era of the 1980s. during the 90s, hit sat back out of the limelight, depressed, disgruntled and jaded, as any GREAT musician would, watching the musical landscape change, and record company execs leave him behind as a one hit wonder/80s teen idol. he concentrated on other role; producer/writer and husband/father. then out of nowhere, he re-emerged in 1999 with a new album full of great guitar-driven would-be hits!
gone was the synthpop of the previous decade. sadly this too, was overlooked for Britney and Limp Bizkit. in 2002 he came out with yet another great album. and by 2005 a newer greatest hits import which included the newer era songs. *in 2006 he came out with yet another album chocked full of great tunes!!!!!* still this older Greatest Hits, though outdated is worth the money alone, for the track, "so quiet" the B-side to Wide Boy back in the 80s. one of the saddest, beautiful songs you've never heard. somebody on Youtube.com put it to a Korean tv novela and the effect is amazing.... DONT EVER STOP MAKING MUSIC NIK.....there are people out there who know REAL talent and songwriting, though fads and bullsh** come and go.

Want to have fun by just listening to intelligent music? Want to explore unexpected, unconventional classical turns in good taste music? Must buy any (I repeat, any) album by this composer, singer , musician. Nik brings joy, and only joy to your heart. So sad he is not publicized in U.S. Keep on creating Nik! When is the next "joy" out? Expecting it with joy!
