Best thing about this CD is get a good mix from several different styles from many very good bands.
Jack L. Williams
I love the opportunity that compilations bring to the listener, a new way to introduce music that they otherwise may never get the chance to enjoy.
Brian
This was a great way to be introduced to new music, and I would recommend it to anyone who's into metal.

Best of Nuclear Blast: 25th Anniversary Compilation is an odd title for this sampler from the Nuclear Blast label, considering all 15 songs are from albums released in 2012. Still, that's a minor complaint for what is a very cool collection of top shelf metal. Nuclear Blast has released some terrific albums this year, and this sampler reflects that. You get a good cross section of metal genres - traditional metal (Doro), thrash metal (Destruction, Testament), a range of progressive metal (from Threshold to Meshuggah to Enslaved), modern metal (Sylosis, Bury Tomorrow), folk metal (Eluviete) and even some great hard rock (from Graveyard, the 69 Eyes and Witchcraft).

These Nuclear Blast samplers never disappoint, and this is no exception. There are some great tunes here, some of which have already convinced me to pick up some new releases. And hey, it's free! What's not to love?

Great! Got this for free but I would have paid money for it. Great death metal bands and I recommend it.

The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I am not a fan of every band on the album. It is still a pretty comprehensive list of artists. This should please most people.

Metal badness at its best. Definitely worth checking out. You'll only be disappointed if you don't download this album. Many good songs on here.

Could be better but does have a couple good bands. I like these samplers so I can find new bands that I have not heard before.

I love the opportunity that compilations bring to the listener, a new way to introduce music that they otherwise may never get the chance to enjoy. The fact that it is free is even more of a great deal, no reason to not check it out at this point.
