This book is a compilation of the best pieces of creative and humorous writing published in the nursing and related literature within the last 20 years. Many of the articles selected deal with the relationship between nurses and their colleagues, physicians, patients and patients' families. The articles are divided into nine chapters chronicling a typical nurse's career, beginning with the trials and tribulations of nursing school and the perils of job hunting. The sixth chapter draws on the world of academics and the mass media's perceptions of the nursing profession.

The best of Nursing Humor,

As a student nurse I found this book hysterical!!! The student nursing short stories were so easy to relate to. Finally I realize I am not alone, there are more psycho instructors out there marking papers as if they were Zorro using a red pen, and it is not just our facility that "treats report as if it were classified information, and we don't have proper clearance." A must get for the nurse in your life, or for yourself for humor you can relate to.
