...The brilliant group behind that rythm turned out to be Olodum! I ordered this CD with my fingers crossed. When it finally arrived and i put it in my car I almost lept out of my seat with joy. It sounds a bit dramatic, but when you hear it you'll understand. This CD comes with my highest recommendation.

I was lucky enough to travel to Bahia Brazil and catch the band playing live in the tourist district in Salvador. They put on a fun show and they had the audience up and partying! Their style is described as Reggae Samba. Amazingly when I got back to the US, this band showed up a few months later to do a show in my hometown! This cd has all of their older favorites. Some fans feel that the older stuff is the best.

Phenom band from Brazil-full of drums and upbeat music and vocals. Lively, melodic, energetic. Beautiful.

I love this group but this CD is not what I expected.
It has mostly very dull songs, it is like they are warming up before starting the show but never quite get there. Keep the group in mind but buy a different CD. |
