DISCO AT ITS BEST,
By Gabriel Albert (Grants, NM USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Best Of Peaches & Herb (Audio CD)
Peaches and Herb sang some of the best disco songs of their time, most notably "Shake Your Groove Thing"....which is an irresistable song and makes you instantly want to hit the dancefloor. One of my all time favorite ballads has got to be the wonderful and amazing, "Reunited". "Reunited" topped both the R&B and Pop charts in 1980 and gave Peaches and Herb their first and only No. 1 Pop hit. Truly that one song alone makes this CD worth buying. The only thing I noticed is that "Roller-Skatin' Mate" sounds like "Shake Your Groove Thing"...don't you think? But I still gave this collection 5 stars because its disco and old skool at its finest. Too bad we don't hear music like this anymore on the radio.

The Best of Disco,
By Kathy (Pennsauken, New Jersey United States) - See all my reviews

I was a big Peaches and Herb fan as a child. My tastes in music have expanded and changed since then, but I still listen to Peaches and Herb. "Shake Your Groove Thing" is the best disco song ever, sung by the best disco group ever. This music still makes me want to get up and dance. The only thing wrong with this album is that it doesn't include enough songs from their last three albums.

Excellent album from that duo!,

Peaches & Herb were very good in their time in the late 70s and early 80s. I liked Shake Your Groove Thing and others, but I still love the mellow Reunited. Against the mostly disco-dominated dance music that took over 1979, this was a very gorgeous and smooth ballad by them as a couple reunites after many years apart. I still hear it today in some stores and still move, caress and glide to it. But the rest of the album had some strong songs too, especially the disco-heavy first half and the nice ballad I Pledge My Love. They were a good duo that sang the songs and material quite well.

I'm not a P&H fan, in fact I just bought this CD for reunited so I could play it an annoy my buddy. However upon listening to it, hey it's good music. I'm glad I bought it.

This is Disco at it's best done by one of the Best groups to sing! It has everything a fan would want great slow songs and pumping disco beats for you to get up to and shake your grove thing to.
