Whether inside or outside the Best Pet Soft Sided Play Pen is the answer for a play pen for that is quick and easy to set up. It is excellent for travel because it sets up in seconds yet folds easily and stores in a carrying case that is just 24" by 19" by 2" thick. This water-resistant play pen works well inside or out and is especially useful for sick or expecting pets that need to be confined. Setup is easy, simply unfolds in seconds with out any tools. For outdoor use you can use the included ground stakes to secure the play pen to the ground. Because it completely encloses your pet another use for this playpen is for sunning reptiles. It has side pockets for convenient storage of small items. The play pen measures 43 inches in diameter by x 22 1/2 inches high. Available in burgundy and cream, blue and cream, pink & cream, teal and cream, blue plaid, pink plaid, leopard skin, zebra skin, and camouflage colors.

I bought this product when I had to take my elderly cat on a 3 state, 9 day trip. The cat is very mild mannered and not easily startled but she had never been in a car for more than an hour and had never been on any overnight stays anywhere. I bought this playpen to keep her confined while we were at hotels and family homes. It worked perfectly!
I bought the 42" diameter playpen and that had enough room for a full sized hooded litter box, recirculating water fountain unit, food bowl and a 12 x 12 x 15 cat bed. Because the top mesh piece is fully zippered, I was able to run the cord for the water fountain out of the top of the playpen and still secure the top.
The cat loved her playpen. When we were in the hotel room with her, we unzipped one of the side doors and left it open for her to come and go as she pleased. The side doors have velco to secure them open. When we were out of the room, the cat was secured in the playpen. We also kept her "locked in" when we were staying with family who didn't have cats or had other pets. She was perfectly happy to stay inside.
The bottom is a heavy canvas and the mesh is the standard type of mesh found in soft sided pet carriers. Could a pet escape? I could not see any way for a pet to slip out unless the mesh was ripped out by a pet determined to escape. But the same can be said of any soft sided carrier or containment. For my cat, it was totally secure. I had absolutely no concerns about leaving her unattended.
There are two cons:
1. The carrying bag is cut just exaclty the size of a neatly factory folded playpen. See #2...
2. The folding process isn't the easiest. It's not horrible but it does take a bit of practice. I could never get the neat folds and tucks like the factory. This wouldn't be as much of an issue if the darn bag was just 1/4 to 1/2 inch larger. With my folding skills, it took some tugging and a bit of swearing to get the darn thing back in the bag but I managed.
BOTTOM LINE:
This was absolutely perfect for my cat. I have recommended this to other friends who travel with their cats and they have been impressed. It would also be perfect for someone introducing a new kitten/cat into a household or to isolate a sick cat. I am totally satisfied with this product.

I bought one when I was expecting my new Miniature Schnauzer and I found out very quickly that this was the best purchase I made. It sets up very quickly and folds up in minutes.
When I can not watch her closely she loves her new pen and it is big enough for her bed and potty pad and food/water bowl and lots of toys.
She entertains herself when I am at work and is safe and secure and I know I do not have to worry about her.
I highly recommend this pen for anyone with small dogs. It it constructed well and easy to clean and move around and is great also for traveling.
I feel it is a Must Have for all pet owners that want to keep their small pets safe when you are away or just can't be watching over them every minute of the day or night. My little girl stays in hers at night also and has never cryed at night even when she was very young.

This play pen is exactly what I was looking for. It folds out easily, it folds up fairly easily (although it took some practice!). It's sturdy enough for a somewhat senior cat to go outside and bird watch safely, which is what we wanted it for. I'm not sure how it would hold up to a more rambunctious kitty (claws plus mesh? I'm not sure and I haven't tried any of the younger, crazier ones for that reason). It seems like it'd be fine for a puppy, though.

Just OK
