I originally had this on cassette & wore it out. If you enjoy country rock "Pirates" is a good match for you. My favorite song is actually a slower ballad. "Feed Jake" is a call to humanity to take care of each other. In order to survive we have a few basic necessities, food, clothing & shelter. "Feed Jake" states everyone had/has a mother & she would say we all have worth. Most of the other songs are just good ole jamming.

I had the CD before and had lost it. Was glad to find it on AMAZON...the group was great. Hated to see them break up.

I am a DJ and had a request for "Feed Jake" at a party last weekend, so I bought the CD for that song. I also love dogs so I thought I would give it a listen, I don't understand why they had to polarize this song by commenting on the perception of gays in society at the time. It just doesn't fit and in my opinion, ruins the song. The other songs are alright, I think they did a good job on the cover of the old Hank Sr. song (Honky-Tonk Blues). I can see that song appealing to the younger crowd more than the original would.
