Bobby Womack first came to prominence in the in the 1950s as part of The Womack Brothers, a gospel group that was comprised of siblings Cecil, Harry, Curtis and Friendly. Impressed with the group, Sam Cooke encouraged them to come to Los Angeles where he signed them to his SAR label. Bobby Womack dropped two tight albums. Bobby Womack vocally was on point&Musically He bringing the flavor. the first Poet Album had the classic"if you think your'e lonely now". Secret was bumping as well. when Bobby says just like Kentucky Fried Chicken I always crack while I'm eating on a Drum stick LAWWD Hav Merccy!! Both Duets with Patti Labelle are on time as well. Bobby Womack is a very slept Soul brother.vocally he is still bringing it. always been a tight Musician&all around stylist.
