Biography

The Pogues are an English punk/folk band founded in 1982 by Shane MacGowan (vocals, songwriter), James Fearnley (accordion) and Spider Stacy (tin whistle), in London. Their name comes from the Anglicisation of the Irish saying for "kiss my arse", póg mo thóin or pogue mahone. i've gotta say, this cd definitely lives up to its name. sure "if i should fall from.." and another one or two coulda been added, it's still got everything else you coulda wanted. highly recommended to any new pogues fan as well.

What a band!!! It's fabulous-absoulutely!!! The Pogues are essential to your CD collection. Any CD from the Pogues is a fabulous addition to your collection!!!
