I have taught middle school science for 13 years. If you have any teaching experience at all this book is not worth the money. It is comprised of anecdotes from teachers who have won grants from Toyota Tapestry and the like. For example: use hands on activities, involve students, have good classroom management. Really? No kidding. I wouldn't even ask a student teacher to waste money on purchasing this book. It does not have applicable suggestions on how to cover all of one's curriculum and do well on state tests. Now if your goal is to win grants this might be worth $5 certainly not over $10.
