Product Description

Memory foam provides a great sleeping surface. In normal temperatures it is somewhat firm, but when you lay down, it starts reacting to the temperature of your body and begins to mold itself to your shape. Then, weight is evenly distributed along the surface, relieving pressure points and helping you to sleep more without tossing and turning. MATTRESS FACTS: 6" Deep Dual Layers: 1" Memory Foam top+2" Super soft foam + 3" Supportive Layer below . Rich Poly-Jacquard fabric cover .10-Year Warranty.

I bought this mattress as an alternative to the traditional spring mattress, which are very expensive. I'm a college student and i needed a cheap bed for my room. I decided to get it with a wooden platform bed, which only cost me $100. This memory foam mattress came in about a week after ordering, before the estimated arrival date and right on time for me to move in. It was packaged nicely and folded up in a cylindrical cardboard box (it wasn't very heavy to lift), and all i had to do was unfold it onto my platform bed. The mattress was clean and very firm, although it's more like 5.5'' in depth instead of 6'', but it's no big deal. I'm not sure why the seller doesn't post a picture of the bed, but i assure you it is a clean twin size bed that is incredibly soft but firm. I have been sleeping on it for 3 months now and it still feels like new. I stopped getting back pains after sleeping on this bed, which is something that often happened when i slept on metal spring mattresses. This is a great bed for a great buy!

I had some initial trepidation when considering purchasing this mattress; most memory foam beds are much more expensive, and my prior experience with beds is that 'you get what you pay for.' Having slept on Tempurpedic for many years, I almost didn't complete my order. However, I am quite glad that I did.

The mattress comes rolled up in air-tight packaging, inside of a draw-string style canvas sack. Once you cut it open and unroll it, the mattress expands; as it expanded, my cynicism was lessened. I did not smell any of the odors that many other customers have talked about, but I did keep the fan in my room on and a window cracked to ventilate any potential smells. The bed itself feels quite soft when you lay down, yet it has a bit of firmness for support.

After sleeping on it the first night, it is a very good mattress. I am a side-sleeper and it did not aggravate my shoulder and hip much like a traditional spring mattress does. At over 250 lbs., I was worried that the 6" depth of the mattress would not be enough to support me, but it was more than acceptable. I needed something cheap as I am staying in a different city for work, and this mattress fit the bill.

I've never owned a memory foam mattress before, but I'm impressed with this one and happy with the price. I purchased this for camping, sleeping in the back of my Toyota 4Runner. With the seats folded down, it's a very hard surface with no give. With everything else I tried, I couldn't get comfortable, and I woke up with sore spots. I'm a big guy - 6' 3" and about 300 lbs. Sleeping on this mattress is pure heaven. I can sleep on my back, on my side, in any position, and I'm more than comfortable. I never feel the rock-hard floor beneath me at all. I now sleep better than anyone else at camp. I hate to get up in the mornings!

I was concerned because everyone told me it would be hot, but this has been a really hot summer, and I think it's cooler than my old air mattress.

I don't see it wearing out, but if I thought it would, I'd buy another one to have a spare.

This mattress has a high quality zippered cover on it, and a non-removeable mesh inner cover. I unzipped it to look inside, and sure enough it has 3 layers: a 3" urethane foam support layer, a 2" middle layer of the same color and a 1" green memory foam top layer all glued together. However, I suspect the middle layer is the same density as the bottom. The green memory foam is so thin as to be inconsequential, mine was crushed flat from shipping and never fluffed up to 1".

I've learned from experience with toppers that memory foam needs to be at least 3" thick in order to feel the effect and to contour properly to your body. You can truly feel the difference between 3" and 4", even more so between 2" and 3". This mattress feels like you're laying on a hard slab of upholstery foam (which you are). As I unpacked it and was letting it "inflate" (which took minutes, not 2 days), I stepped on it and it sprung back immediately, no memory foam indentation at all. BTW, there was no objectionable smell to it, those few who reported that must be overly sensitive.

I prefer a soft sleep surface, and I recently bought a memory foam topper to put on my old pillowtop coil mattress. It was a 3.3lb., 4" thick topper (the softest you can get). The combo was EXTREMELY soft, too soft: I sunk deeply into it like a cloud! And the overall height was too tall for most sheets (15") so I bought this thin 6" mattress to replace my worn out coil spring, to act as the "support layer" under my memory foam topper. EVEN WITH the topper installed it's VERY hard. I'm guessing the combo is about equivalent to Tempur-Pedic (6.6lb.?), because I remember trying that out in the store once and thought it was too hard for my taste.

A very comfortable mattress,it was easy to transport to my apartment and lightweight. It took about a day to fully expand. It had a newly manufactured smell to it, which was to be expected. Much better than a spring mattress, I think.
