This CD is the greatest work I have ever listened to. Psychommunity certainly is a collaboration of hide's best works from his unbelievable solo career.
hide's true uniqueness and ambition shine through in each of his songs. His musical direction is unlike that of any other musician. hide is one of a kind.
Psychommunity has songs from a variety of genres. Upbeat songs like Rocket Dive and Beauty & Stupid, Or total rock tracks like Doubt or Pose. Myself, I can't help but smile when I listen to Ever Free, or LEMONed I Scream. Just hearing hide's voice makes me forget my troubles and smile. Stay free my Misery ^^
I hope that people will look past the language barrier, and open up to hide's music. Whether it's his bright pink hair, his unique voice, or his independant attitude, there is no one like hide.
hide's premature death is a loss that I can't, and never will, come to terms with. I can't believe he's gone, and I would give anything to have him back. But, as long as his fans don't forget his music and what a wonderful person hide was, there is no way hide can ever die...
This CD is the essence of hide's career. hide's music has been the greatest influence in my life, therefore, I recommend Psychommunity to everyone.

hide was one of Japan's greatest guitarists, and this IS his best album. It has a wonderful variety of songs, the beautiful Flame, the rockin' PINK SPIDER and DOUBT, the exciting Pose, the oh-so-amusing LemonED I Scream, and maany others. If you are a hide fan or J-Rock fan, you will love this album. If you've never even heard of J-Rock or hide, just think of him as a Japanese mix of David Bowie and John Lennon. This is a great album that can be greatly enjoyed by all.

hide was the 2nd Jrock artist I checked out. And I am so thankful that I did.
When the album starts off with 'Rocket Dive', you are instantly excited and pumped full of energy. Then, you gradually enter a much slower pace with the beautiful 'Flame'.
This best of was mixed very well. The style changes constantly, and shows how versatile this man was. From the pop sounds of 'LEMONed I Scream' to the metal-like 'Pose'. The more I listen to this album, the more I like it.
Whenever someone is talking about the best artists of Japan (or the world, for that matter) hide always comes to my mind. Always.

A nice overview of the work of one of Japan's greatest music legends. Many musicians and artists come and go very rapidly in Japan, but Hide is truly an execption. He will live on in his music until the end of time.

If you've just discovered hide, pick this CD up for some of his best hits! NOW!!!!! Some of my favorites are Pink Spider (This has amazing guitar works. It really shows off what hide is as a musician as well as his ease with Spread Beaver. ), Dice (another fast song with lots of guitar) and Lemoned I Scream (a song completely in English, this took me a while to get used to but since then, I've been obsessed with it. This song explores hide's vocal range well).

If you like jrock but have never heard of hide, where the h*ll have you been? Pick this CD up now! If you like Dir en Grey, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Luna Sea, Metronome, Pierrot, or Laputa, you will love hide. If you don't like any of the jrock band I mentioned above, you will still love hide!

If you've never heard of hide but likes rock music, pick this CD up NOW!!! This man is a legend and one of the best guitar players in history. You will love him!

If you're obsessed with hide like I am, you probably already have this CD. So start saving money to spend at the hide museum. I want every single magazine that has ever featured hide...

I believe if more Americans gave hide's music a chance, they'd be hooked. I stumbled upon his music last year while watching an X Japan video on You-Tube. I noticed the band had twin leads guitars (shades of Wishbone Ash), but a sound that would be considered progressive slash pop slash hard rock. In other words, a sound or some songs that would please most rock and rollers. Hide's guitar work can be smooth, fast, loud, sometimes abrasive (Doubt), but always excellent. I googled the band, and read that hide had died over 12 years ago. I had missed the boat.

But his music seemed so fresh and new to me. I do not understand much Japanese, but with hide's music, that does not matter. It transcends the gap in language; besides, he sings a lot in English, either whole songs or parts of songs. This style gets you into the mood regardless of a literal translation, and isn't Rock 'N' Roll a universal language? His songs with Spread Beaver really rock. The song "Doubt", is one amazing collage of heavy fuzz metal guitars. "Rocket Dive" is one of my favorites, and almost every song on the album has a catchy hook or melody that will stay with you.

Of course, the production is excellent. The song "Pink Spider" soared in the Japanese charts shortly after his death, and won the MTV Video Music Award, in the 'Japan Viewers Choice' category. Since that fateful day, for me, I have bought a few more of hide's cds, from Zilch's "3.2.1.", to his "Hide Our Psychommunity" live double cd set. Coming from an old time rocker that still listens to Uriah Heep, Led Zepplin, and The Cult, to name a few, I whole-heartily recommend this recording. Just listening to the first few bars of most songs give a rewarding glimpses of what is to come. Give it a try. Freshen up that cd collection with some not so new, new music!

hide was such a genius, and this album is a must have for anyone who listens to music. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT....

Hi-ho i'm totaly lemoned about hide's CD. Buy it,buy it, buy it buy it. This is truly a great musical experience for any one who wants to step out of his or her musical box. It's that dang good trust me.
