I read Punch for about 25 years, every week, and I have about dozen small cartoon books published by Punch, together with an actual contemporaneously-bound copy of 1890. The Best of Punch Cartoons: 2,000 Humor Classics is a great coffee table book. Printed on fine paper, in an expansive format, there is unexpected hilarity on each page. The cartoons cover several centuries, and the older cartoons can be surprisingly funny and show that somethings change and others never do.

As a coffe table or family book. The Best of Punch Cartoons, 2,000 Humor Classics will keep guests of family laughing everyday for a long time to come

Massive book, well reproduced cartoons. Very British humo(u)r, not to everyone's taste. But if you like this sort of thing, you'll like this. Historical as well as more contemporary cartoons.

Wonderful collection of single panel cartoons. A full history of the talented artists of this sorely missed British humor magazine. Excellent companion to the New Yorker cartoon collection The Complete Cartoons of the New Yorker Highly recommended.
